Shooting: Women’s Trap Team Secures Silver
India opened its Day 10 medal account on a high note in the shooting range. The women’s trap team, featuring the sharp-shooting trio of Neeru Dhanda, Manisha Keer, and Aashima Ahlawat, combined forces to secure a prestigious silver medal for the nation. Adding to the joy, Neeru Dhanda shot brilliantly to qualify for the individual final with a joint-top score of 118 points, keeping hopes alive for an individual gold. Meanwhile, in the men’s trap event, Shapath Bharadwaj also booked his spot in the individual final.
Archery: Neeraj and Dhiraj Shine
Indian archers turned heads with phenomenal precision. In the men's recurve individual event, Neeraj Chauhan pulled off a stunning upset, defeating South Korea's Olympic medallist Kim Je Deok 6-4 to storm into the quarterfinals. He was joined by teammate Dhiraj Bommadevara, who continued his dominant run by overpowering Chinese Taipei’s Cheng Hsiang-Hui 6-2 in the round of 16.
