However, once the day began, the deadlock in Parliament only deepened. The government said it was fully prepared to discuss the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak—provided the debate followed standard House rules. But Opposition leaders refused to budge, demanding an immediate, dedicated discussion on the exam scandal and the recent police crackdown on student protesters.
Protests quickly derailed proceedings in both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, triggering a series of adjournments. With neither side willing to back down, it remains unclear whether Parliament will be able to move past the chaos and actually get any work done.
