Braving the early morning rain, cricketer Virat Kohli and his wife, actor Anushka Sharma, visited spiritual leader Premanand Maharaj at his new ashram in Vrindavan on Wednesday morning.

Despite intermittent rainfall over the last two days causing waterlogging across Mathura district, the couple arrived at the Yamuna-side ashram around 4:00 AM. Following a tradition from their previous visits, they walked barefoot through the drizzle for nearly 300 meters to reach the entrance.

Upon meeting Premanand Maharaj, Virat and Anushka offered Dandvat Pranam (full prostration) and checked on his health before spending about an hour in a quiet, private conversation with him.

The couple has formed a deep connection with the spiritual leader since their first meeting on January 4, 2023, later receiving Diksha (formal spiritual initiation) from him on January 10, 2025. Wednesday’s visit marks their eighth pilgrimage to meet Maharaj Ji, following a series of regular visits over the past couple of years.
