KAKAMIGAHARA, JAPAN — Star Indian midfielder Vivek Sagar Prasad etched his name into the history books on Wednesday by completing 200 senior international appearances for the Indian men's national hockey team.
The 26-year-old playmaker, who made his senior international debut back in 2018, has steadily grown into the heartbeat of the Indian squad.
To commemorate his phenomenal journey, Indian men's team chief coach Craig Fulton presented Vivek with a special commemorative jersey ahead of the match.
Over his illustrious career spanning nearly a decade, Vivek has been an integral part of numerous historic triumphs. His glittering resume features back-to-back Olympic bronze medals at the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Games.
