While Karthi’s Sardar 2 opened with respectable numbers before hitting a steep deceleration, Mathimaran Pugazhendhi’s directorial Mandaadi continues to ride high on strong word-of-mouth, regional expansion (particularly in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana), and soaring footfalls.
