What Data We Collect
Alter News does not use Facebook Login, and visitors to our site do not connect a Facebook or Instagram account to use the Site. Our Facebook and X (Twitter) integrations operate entirely on our side, using our own Page-level credentials, to automatically post links to our published articles — they do not collect, access, or store any personal data belonging to Facebook or Instagram users.
The only personal information we collect directly from visitors is what you voluntarily submit through our contact form — such as your name, email address, and message — along with your IP address and browser information, as described in our Privacy Policy.
How to Request Deletion of Your Data
If you have submitted information to us through our contact form and would like it deleted, you can request deletion at any time by emailing us at:
Email: [YOUR CONTACT EMAIL HERE]
Please include enough detail (such as the email address or name you used, and approximately when you contacted us) so we can locate and delete your submission. We will process your request and confirm deletion within a reasonable time, generally within 30 days.
Facebook / Instagram Users
Because Alter News does not use Facebook Login and does not request any permissions to access your Facebook or Instagram data, there is no Alter News–held Facebook/Instagram data to delete on our end. To manage or remove data that Facebook/Meta itself holds about your interactions with our Page (such as likes, comments, or shares on our posts), please use Facebook's own tools:
- Facebook: Access and Download Your Information
- Facebook: Manage Apps and Websites Connected to Your Account
