New Delhi: Bollywood actor Sidharth Malhotra is back on the silver screen, and his latest cinematic outing has managed to create considerable early buzz. His newly released fantasy thriller, The Vvaan - Force of the Forrest—co-starring Tamannaah Bhatia—has officially landed in theatres, pulling off a decent opening-day performance at the box office.

According to early industry tracking reports from Sacnilk, The Vvaan minted a net collection of approximately ₹8 crore domestically on its opening day. The film's overall gross collection in India touched around ₹9.60 crore, backed by a robust release across thousands of screens nationwide.

Despite encountering mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike, the movie's strong pre-sales momentum helped pull crowds into cinema halls on Friday. Industry metrics highlight that The Vvaan managed to surpass the opening day collections of several notable recent films, comfortably outperforming Param Sundari (which opened at ₹7.37 crore) as well as Marjaavaan during their respective debuts.

Within Sidharth Malhotra’s career ledger, The Vvaan has secured the actor's fourth-highest opening day collection, trailing behind major hits like Ek Villain (₹16.70 crore), Brothers (₹15.21 crore), and Thank God (₹8.10 crore). Furthermore, it has comfortably left behind other recent box office competitors such as Batwara 1947 and Haiwaan.

Directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra and Arunabh Kumar, The Vvaan features Sidharth Malhotra playing a rational man named Rishi, alongside an ensemble supporting cast including Sunil Grover, Shweta Tiwari, Anup Soni, and Maniesh Paul. Jointly backed by prominent production houses like Balaji Motion Pictures, TVF Motion Pictures, and 11:11 Productions, the film blends elements of folklore, fantasy, and mystery.

Trade analysts note that while the opening day numbers provide a solid foundation, the true test for The Vvaan will lie in how it holds up over the crucial Saturday and Sunday weekend windows to sustain momentum at the ticket windows.
