GUWAHATI: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has officially rolled out its much-awaited employment notification under CEN 06/2026, launching the recruitment drive for 3,548 Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) Graduate-level posts across various Zonal Railways. Eligible and interested graduates looking forward to a career in the Indian Railways can now submit their applications online.

The online application process commenced on 8th October 2026 and will remain active until 6th November 2026.

Vacancy and Pay Scale Details

The recruitment drive features several prominent positions under Pay Level 5 and Level 6 of the 7th CPC pay matrix. Specifically, RRB Guwahati has announced 104 vacancies for graduate-level posts.

Key post-wise breakdowns across the board include:

  • Goods Train Manager: 2,750 posts

  • Senior Clerk cum Typist: 371 posts

  • Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist: 300 posts

  • Chief Commercial Cum Ticket Supervisor: 127 posts

Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold a graduation degree from a recognized university or possess an equivalent qualification.

  • Age Limit: Applicants must be between 18 to 33 years of age as of 1st January 2027. Standard age relaxations are applicable for reserved categories (OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and PwBD) as per government guidelines.

Application Fee

  • General / OBC Candidates: ₹500/- (Note: ₹400 will be refunded after appearing in the 1st Stage CBT)

  • SC / ST / PwBD / Female / Ex-Servicemen: ₹250/- (Full fee refunded after appearing in the 1st Stage CBT)

  • Payment Mode: Online transactions via Internet Banking, Debit/Credit Card, or UPI.

Selection Procedure

The multi-stage selection process comprises:

  1. 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT) – Screening test consisting of Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, and General Awareness.

  2. 2nd Stage CBT – Advanced level examination for shortlisted candidates.

  3. Typing Skill Test / Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) (wherever applicable).

  4. Document Verification and Medical Examination.
